Marine Techniques is run by dedicated Marine Surveyors and specialists who understand the requirements of boat owners and the pitfalls that can be encountered when purchasing any boat and those that occur during ownership.

All our surveyors qualifications are internationally recognized within the marine industry relating to boat construction, design, marine engineering and management. All are members of the I.I.M.S. or Y.D.S.A.

We have many years experience in the industry and have been appointed by various institutions including insurance companies, finance houses, M.C.A, M.E.C.A.L, Y.D.S.A and the R.Y.A.

Aberystwth Marina is situated on the West coast of Wales. It provides an excellent facility with berthing available for up to 160 vessels on finger pontoons. A number of visitor moorings are also available. Aberystwth Marina has a fully staffed office for controlling boat movements. Electricity, water and diesel are readily available

Marine surveyors – Anglesey, North Wales
The Isle of Anglesey is the largest island off the coast of mainland Britain and is situated off the North West coast of Wales. Anglesey is separated form North Wales coast by the Menai Strait. The Menai Strait is spanned the Menai and the Britannia bridges. There are many moorings in the Menai Straits, particularly at Beaumaris on Anglesey.

Marine surveyors – Holyhead
To the north west of Anglesey lies the town of Holyhead which is the main ferry port for crossings to Ireland and Llangefni operated by Irish Ferries and Stenaline. Holyhead Marina has a capacity of 300 pontoon berths and up to 200 berths ashore. There are lifting facilities for vessels up to 12 Tonnes. Full Boatyard facilities are available within Holyhead Marina which include repairs to GRP, steel, ferrocement and aluminium vessels. Marine surveyors – Port Dinorwic, North Wales
Port Dinorwic Marina is situated on the Menai Straits of North Wales. The Marina has a capacity of 200 berths and swinging moorings, plus lifting facilities for vessels up to 20 Tonnes. Full boatyard facilities are available within a short distance covering GRP & wooden boat repairs. Conwy Marina is situated on the coast of North Wales. It has some excellent cruising waters just a short distance away. Conwy Marina has a capacity of 500 pontoon together with all the facilities required by the yachtsman. Electricity is available on most pontoons. There is a fuel pontoon dispensing red diesel. Deganwy Quays Marina is situated on the beautiful North Wales Coast. It is owned and run by the Quay Marina Group, Deganwy Quays Marina is a fully equipped marina with 165 fully serviced pontoon berths. The marina is staffed 24 hours a day with toilets, showers, fuel and electricity. A full boatyard service is available. Deganwy Quays Marina operates a 20 tonne mobile hoist. Marine surveyors -Liverpool/ Wirral
Liverpool has a maritime history going back many years. It is built on the banks of the river Mersey which in itself is only 60 miles long running from the Derbyshire hills to the sea. For many years Liverpool was the England’s trading port to the world for both imports and exports. Today Liverpool is a vibrant modern city with many marine facilities.

Liverpool Marina is a modern facility comprising of 450 permanent pontoon berths most of which are serviced with water and electricity. Liverpool/Wirral Marina has berthing available for boats and canal barges of up to 60 feet, The marina has the only boat lifting facilities in the area using a 60 tonne travel hoist which is available for lifts, scrub offs etc during the week. Access to and from the marina is via a computerised lock system and the south end of Brunswick Dock. The lock is available to 2-2.5 hours either side of high water with a level of 2 metres or more of water over the sill. Preston Marina is situated on the north west coast of England in the county of Lancashire. It is easily accessed from all parts of the country via the motorway and rail networks. Preston Marina has 40 acres of deep water which is accessible at all states of the tide.

The marina has capacity of 125 berths and a crane with a lifting capacity of 20 tonnes. There is secure hardstanding for up to 50 boats. Preston Marina, Navigation Way, Riversway Docklands, Preston, Lancashire.

Whitehaven Marina is ideally situated on the edge of Cumbria on the north west coast of England. The Marina is within easy reach of the beautiful Lake District, Its locallity also makes Whitehaven Marina an ideal place to for passage-making to Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. The marina is manned 24 hours a day and has a capacity of 225 berths all with water and electricity. There is a boat lifting facility of vessels up to 45 tonnes. A hardstanding area is also available for maintenance if required. The facilities at Whitehaven also include a diesel berth, toilets and showers. Maryport Harbour and Marina is situated on the beautiful Lake District Coast, in the county of Cumbria. The dramatic Cumbrian coastline has the Solway Firth lapping its shores and provides excellent sailing and fishing grounds. The Solway Firth is also an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Marina is located in the historic Senhouse Dock, which whilst within walking distance of Maryport town centre is quiet and secluded. The old stone harbour walls provide shelter to the Marina from all points of wind. Approximately 171 pontoon berths are available for day boats and vessels up to 70 ft. A minimum water level of 2.4m above the gate sill is maintained and the tidal window is approximately 2 hours either side of high water. All pontoons are supplied with electricity and water. There is a boat lifting facility of vessels up to 25 tonnes via a slipway hoist. A hardstanding area is also available for maintenance if required.
