All our surveyors qualifications are internationally recognized within the marine industry relating to boat construction, design, marine engineering and management. All are members of the I.I.M.S. or Y.D.S.A.
We have many years experience in the industry and have been appointed by various institutions including insurance companies, finance houses, M.C.A, M.E.C.A.L, Y.D.S.A and the R.Y.A.

Marine surveyors - Padstow, Cornwall
Padstow is at the entrance to the River Camel on the north coast of Cornwall, and has a small locked harbour plus many moorings in the river, although most of these moorings are drying, and for smaller craft. Further up river is Wadebridge, where Chapman & Hewitt have a boatyard with lifting facilities at high tide only.

Hayle has a large drying harbour, but it is at present little used, although there are plans to substantially redevelop it.
Marine surveyors - Penzance, Cornwall
is steeped in maritime history that is centered around its harbour and for many years was the lifeblood of the town. Sea trading has declined in Penzance over the years but Penzance harbour still serves a lively commercial and recreational scene.
Marine surveyors - Newlyn, Cornwall
is a mile to the west of Penzance and supports the largest fishing fleet in Cornwall. Newlyn has an inner harbour wet dock that is used for fishing and small commercial vessels, though yachts on passage often also berth there temporarily.

is reputed to be the third largest natural harbour in the world. Falmouth harbour offers many facilities for yachtsmen and commercial vessels. Commercial facilities include A&P Appledore shipyard where larger vessels are repaired or refitted. Included within the dockyard is Pendennis Shipyard
reputed to make some of the worlds finest super yachts. The new Cornwall Maritime Museum and events square is becoming a landmark in Falmouth for sailing events and festivals. For the visiting yachtsman the Falmouth harbourmaster-run yacht haven pontoons provide berthing for up to 100 vessels. There are also 19 visitors deep water moorings for single vessels. A yacht anchorage area is provided between Custom House Quay and Falmouth Docks.
In addition Falmouth Marina has extensive facilities for yachts including short & long term berthing boat storage, cranage & maintenance. Many marine surveys are carried out over a tide at Falmouth marina. Marine Techniques will be happy to assist in arranging cranage and storage for any boat requiring a marine survey.
Operated by Rustler Yachts, the Falmouth Boatyard provides 5 acres of hard standing winter storage and year-round lift-out (up to 40 tonnes) and boatyard facilities at Ponsharden. Adjacent are also several smaller boatyards, including Challenger Mariner, Ponsharden Boatyard and Islington Wharf.
